Technical heating guide
Indirect Water Heater Service
Indirect tanks rely on the boiler, circulator or zone valve, aquastat or sensor, heat-exchanger coil, mixing arrangement, and domestic-water controls working together.
No hot water with a working boiler
The issue may be demand sensing, priority control, valve or pump operation, air, coil restriction, boiler temperature, or domestic mixing—not the tank alone.
Temperature stability
Sensor placement, control differential, mixing valve condition, recirculation, and boiler response can affect recovery and outlet temperature.
Leak diagnosis
Condensation, relief discharge, piping leaks, coil leakage, and tank failure need to be distinguished before replacement is recommended.
