Boiler Control Board Diagnostics
A control board should be condemned only after power quality, inputs, safeties, sensors, loads, communication, grounding, and wiring are tested.
Inputs and outputs
A board may be responding correctly to a missing safety input or failed external load. Test the sequence before assuming an internal failure.
Power and grounding
Voltage instability, polarity, grounding, moisture, damaged connectors, and shorted loads can create board symptoms or damage replacements.
Configuration
Replacement boards may require model-specific jumpers, coding plugs, parameters, firmware, or commissioning steps.
